President administers oath to Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani as Chief Justice of Pakistan

Islamabad, December 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): President Mamnoon Hussain today administered oath of office to Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani as Chief Justice of Pakistan at a ceremony held here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, members of the Federal Cabinet, Parliamentarians, members of diplomatic community, senior officers and former Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry attended the oath-taking ceremony.

Later, Chief Justice, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jilani called on President Mamnoon Hussain. The President congratulated Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jilani on his appointment as Chief Justice of Pakistan and wished him well in the discharge of his new responsibilities.
