President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry leaves for Qatar to attend Pakistan-Qatar Joint Ministerial Commission

Karachi, February 18, 2014 (PPI-OT): Mr. Zakaria Usman, President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) along with Mr. Mehmood Arshad, Chairman, Pakistan-Qatar Business Council of FPCCI has left for Doha to attend the 3rd Session of Pakistan-Qatar Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) to be held on February 18, 2014 in Doha, Qatar.

Pak-Qatar JMC was a useful institutional framework for an in-depth review of existing economic relations and identification of new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.

The 3rd Session will focus on the review of bilateral trade relations and measures for its diversification, activation of Pak-Qatar Joint Business Council (JBC), establishment of FTA, Exchange of Trade Delegations and organizing trade Exhibitions, Banking, Finance and Investment, Energy, Infrastructure development, enhancing collaboration in the field of SMEs, ITC, Agriculture and Livestock, export of manpower as well as Education and Scientific Research.

Mr. Zakaria Usman, President FPCCI while leaving for Doha said that that multifarious partnerships between Pakistan and Qatar in areas particularly trade, investment, infrastructure and development projects can help further strengthen our existing cordial ties.
