President Zardari Approves Appointment of Ad Hoc Judges to Supreme Court

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has sanctioned the appointment of former justices as ad hoc judges to the Supreme Court of Pakistan, aiming to enhance the judiciary’s capacity.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the President’s approval was granted under Article 182 of the Constitution. The judges appointed are former Apex Court justices, Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel. They are scheduled to serve as ad hoc judges for a period of one year.
