Prime Minister approves extension of facility of writing off outstanding loans for residents of Lower Dir, Upper Dir and Shangla

Islamabad: On the request of the Parliamentarians of Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw, the Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has approved the extension of the facility of writing off the loans outstanding as on 31.12.2009 to the residents of Lower Dir, Upper Dir and Shangla which were declared as Most Affected Areas where people suffered loss of men and material during war against terrorism.

The facility of writing off loans was part of the Revised Relief Package to rehabilitate business activities in Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw, FATA/PATA was approved by the Prime Minister on 9th March, 2010 and originally extended to Swat, Buner, Chitral and Malakand.
