Prime Minister Gilani approves grant of Rs.20 Million for endowment of Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy

Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani approved the grant of Rs.20.00 million for endowment of the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP).

Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy was established in 2002 on the initiative of his Highness Prince Karim Agha Khan with a view to establish an organization which could certify the credentials of NGOs working in Pakistan. The centre has been performing its functions effectively as a recognized institution for certification of NGOs.

PCP has: –

i) Adopted 106 Government Primary Schools which benefited 15000 children.

ii) Developed 22 Partnerships with corporate sector.

iii) Mobilized $ 1.2 m.

iv) Presented First online Employee Payroll Giving model in Pakistan.
