Prime Minister Sharif Establishes Cabinet Committee for Development Budget and PSDP

Islamabad, In a strategic move to bolster national development, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered the formation of a cabinet committee focusing on the development budget and the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP). This decision was made during a meeting concerning the Planning Ministry and the Public Private Partnership Authority.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the newly formed committee, under the guidance of the Planning Minister, will develop a range of short to long-term strategies for PSDP initiatives, ensuring all national development projects undergo third-party validation. The Prime Minister stressed the inclusion of projects in the PSDP that promise sustainable development across the country.

Additionally, he mandated all federal ministries to propose projects that could be executed through public-private partnerships and called for improved coordination between the federal PSDP and provincial annual development plans to enhance effectiveness across all levels of government.
