Prime Minister visits headquarters of Bahrain’s defence forces

Bahrain, January 08, 2015 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif visited the headquarters of Bahrain Defence Forces in Manama here today and held meeting with Commander in Chief of Bahrain Defence Force, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.

Upon arrival, the Prime Minister inspected the Guard of Honour presented to him by a smartly turned out contingent of the Bahrain Defence Force.

Matters relating to defence relations between the two countries and overall security situation in the region came under discussion during the meeting.

The Prime Minister expressed the confidence that existing strong ties between the armed forces of Pakistan and Bahrain would further strengthen with more frequent exchanges of visits and sharing of experience in the areas of defence.

He said Pakistan is committed to eradicating terrorism and extremism in all forms and manifestations.
Expressing his remarks in the Visitor’s Book the Prime Minister saluted the professionalism and efficiency of Bahrain Armed Force.

Special Assistants to PM Mr. Tariq Fatemi and Capt. Shujaat Azim, Ambassador at Large, Mr. Javed Malik and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Mr. Muhammad Saeed Khan were also present during the meeting along with other senior officials.
