Properties of Seven Kashmiris Attached in Baramulla

Srinagar, The Indian police have attached properties of seven Kashmiris in Baramulla district of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, as part of ongoing legal proceedings.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a police handout issued in Srinagar reported that the properties were attached following orders from the Additional Sessions Court Baramulla. The properties, totaling 13 Kanals of land, are owned by individuals including Shabbir Ahmad Sofi, Ghulam Nabi Alaie, Ghulam Nabi Sheikh, Sharifud Din Chopan, Gulla Sheikh, Mohammad Rafiq Khan, Abdul Ahad, and Abdul Hameed Parray. These individuals are reportedly residing outside the contested territory.

The move comes amid heightened tensions and ongoing disputes over land ownership in the region, reflecting the complex socio-political dynamics of Kashmir.
