Karachi, August 31, 2016 (PPI-OT): Law Department notified that with the approval of the Competent Authority (Chief Minister), Government of Sindh has established “Provincial Task Force on Human Rights” which shall be responsible for prompt implementation of the Action Plan to improve Human Rights situation in the Province of Sindh with composition as under:
The Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Human Rights will be chairperson while Secretary to Government of Sindh Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights Department or his nomination not below the rank of BPS-19, Two Members of Provincial Assembly of Sindh (to be nominated by the Speaker), Secretary (I and C), SGA and C Department, Government of Sindh or his nominee not below the rank of BPS-19, Secretary Finance Department, Government of Sindh or his nominee not below the rank of BPS-19, Secretary Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh or his nominee not below the rank of BPS-19, Secretary Health Department, Government of Sindh or his nominee not below the rank of BPS-19, Secretary Home Department, Government of Sindh or his nominee not below the rank of BPS-19, Secretary Labour and Human Resource Department, Government of Sindh or his nominee not below the rank of BPS-19, Secretary Social Welfare Department, Government of Sindh or his nominee not below the rank of BPS-19, Secretary Women Development Department, Government of Sindh or his nominee not below the rank of BPS-19, Secretary Minorities Affairs Department, Government of Sindh or his nominee not below the rank of BPS-19, Secretary Zakat and Ushr Department, Government of Sindh or his nominee not below the rank of BPS-19 and Secretary Information and Archives Department, Government of Sindh or his nominee not below the rank of BPS-19 will be its members and the Director, Directorate of Human Rights, Government of Sindh will be member/ Secretary of the Task Force.
