Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has emphasized the importance of the public’s timely reporting of unlawful content on social media platforms to ensure its swift removal.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, PTA Director Muhammad Farooq highlighted the role of public engagement in effectively combating inappropriate online material. Farooq outlined the tools provided by PTA to facilitate this process, including a sophisticated and user-friendly Complaint Management System. This system is available online and through a mobile application that can be downloaded from both the Playstore and Appstore. He also noted that social media platforms have mechanisms in place that encourage users to report content directly, which aids in faster and more efficient resolution.
