Punjab Assembly Approves Bill Seeking Comprehensive Ban on Kite Flying

Karachi: Punjab Assembly has approved a bill seeking a comprehensive ban on kite flying, accompanied by stringent penalties for those who violate the law.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Punjab Home Department spokesperson stated that kite flying has been declared a non-bailable offence, and violators will face a minimum of three years to a maximum of seven years imprisonment.

Fines imposed for kite flying, as well as for the selling and transportation of kites, would range from five hundred thousand rupees to five million rupees.
