Punjab Govt declares Saturday as weekly holiday for schools

Punjab Government has declared Saturday as a weekly holiday for schools to reduce workload and facilitate teachers.

The announcement to this effect was made by provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat in Lahore today.

He said daily teaching hours will be extended from Monday to Friday to adjust holiday on Saturday. The Minister said Saturday will be utilized for teachers’ training, capacity building, lesson planning, and other related activities in a phased manner.
