Punjab Police Act Decisively Against Violence in Land Dispute Under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Directive

Bahawalpur: Prompted by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s zero-tolerance policy towards violence and abuse, Bahawalpur Police have arrested the main suspect involved in a violent land dispute in Sadar Yazman, Bahawalpur. The arrest followed immediate action by the police after IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar took notice of the incident.

According to Punjab Police, Iqrar Hussain, the primary accused, was apprehended swiftly as the police intensified efforts to restore peace and uphold justice in the region. District Police Officer (DPO) Bahawalpur, Asad Sarfraz Khan, emphasized that ongoing raids are aimed at capturing all involved in the incident. He reiterated the administration’s firm stance against violence and the misuse of law by any individual.

This incident and the subsequent actions underscore the Punjab government’s commitment, under the guidance of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, to enforce law and order while ensuring that such abuses are dealt with sternly and swiftly.
