Quetta to Mark World No Smoking Day with Special Program

Quetta, The Pakistan Chest Society Balochistan is set to host an event at the Fatima Jinnah Institute of Chest Diseases on Brewery Road on May 31, 2024, in observance of World No Smoking Day. The program will include seminars and an awareness walk aimed at educating healthcare professionals and the public about the dangers of smoking.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the event is designed to involve doctors, medical students, nurses, paramedical staff, and the general public, fostering a comprehensive approach to combating smoking through education and community engagement. This initiative reflects ongoing efforts to enhance public health and prevent smoking-related diseases in the region.
