Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani held in Civic Centre for martyrs

Karachi, February 03, 2014 (PPI-OT): Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani was held for martyrs Land Inspectors Muhammad Sabir, Zafar and Deputy Director Land Muhammad Ishaque in Civic Center. Deputy Director Land Muhammad Ishaque was murdered during operation against encroachments in North Karachi.

On this occasion Sr. Director Land and Chairman of Task Force Bilal Manzar, Sr. Director Culture Sports and Recreation Muhammad Rehan Khan, Sr. Director E and IP Bashir Saddozai, Sr. Director Medical Services Muhammad Ali Abbasi, Sr. Director Religious and Minority Affairs Tahir Durrani, Director Anti-Encroachment Mazhar Khan, Director Land Muhammad Wasim, Senior Officers from various departments, Officials and representatives of KMC Labor Division and a good number of KMC Employees were also present.

Earlier KMC Sr. Director Land and Chairman of Task Force Bilal Manzar after funeral prayer talked with media representatives and said that campaign against encroachments would carry on in the city and occupied places would be vacated from roads, streets and footpaths.

He said that assassination of Deputy Director Land Muhammad Ishaque could not discourage enthusiasm of our employees and our officers would keep on performing duties properly and operation against encroachments would continue in other parts of the city.

He said that following the directives of Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhtar Farooqui, full fledge operation against encroachments was commenced after a long time in this connection special task has been given to all officers and staff of the department which would produce better outcomes in future. Resistance was usually faced during operation against encroachments however responsibilities could not be neglected due to incidents.

Bilal Manzar expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Muhammad Ishaque and said that Muhammad Ishaque was murdered during his duty which was a great example of loyalty.

Officers of Land Department, Director Anti-Encroachment Mazhar Khan and other employees went to Muhammad Ishaque’s home and expressed deep sorrow and prayed to Allah almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
