Representatives of BNP (Mengal) meet Prime Minister

Islamabad, June 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): Dr. Sajid Tareen, Mr. Sana Baloch, Mr. Abdul Rauf Mengal and Mr. Essa Noori of Balochistan National Party (Mengal) met Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on behalf of the party President Sardar Akhtar Mengal at the Prime Minister’s Office this morning.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif urged the representatives of BNP (M) to play their active role in the national mainstream and lauded their party’s participation in the recently held general elections.

The Prime Minister said that his party offered the post of the Chief Minister Balochistan to Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch despite winning majority seats in the province. The decision, he said, was taken in the greater interest of the province and country.

The Prime Minister said that restoring peace and achieving economic prosperity was on the top of his government’s agenda. He added that progress and development in the province was not possible without taking all the political forces on board.

Members of the visiting delegation conveyed the message of Sardar Akhtar Mengal and informed the Prime Minister on the issue of missing persons and sought his guidance to resolve it.

The Prime Minister assured the delegation of his complete support and resolving all issues including the issue of missing persons.
