Karachi Deputy Mayor Denounces May 9 Violence, Calls for Justice

Karachi, Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad strongly condemned the violent incidents that occurred on May 9, labeling them as a significant attack on national integrity. He criticized the actions taken against memorials dedicated to Pakistan Army martyrs, calling for accountability and severe punishment for those involved.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Murad expressed deep respect for the martyrs and highlighted the desecration of their memorials by extremist elements as an act of terrorism and anti-nationalism. He emphasized that such acts, including the attacks on public and private properties and military installations, marked one of the darkest days in the country’s history. The Deputy Mayor called for the culprits to be brought to justice to uphold the rule of law and prevent such incidents in the future.
