Qatar and Pakistan Aim to Strengthen Economic Ties During Ministerial Visit

Islamabad, The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, met today with Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, discussing the enhancement of their bilateral relationship, especially in economic sectors.

According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the historic and cordial relations between the two nations, emphasizing the desire to elevate these ties to a robust economic partnership. He highlighted the role of the Qatar Investment Authority in expanding Qatar’s investment in Pakistan, particularly in priority sectors.

A special mention was made of the Special Investment Facilitation Council, which would aid in swift coordination between the two countries. The Prime Minister also conveyed his good wishes to the Amir of Qatar and the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar. The Qatari Minister, who was on a one-day visit as a special envoy, reciprocated the sentiments, affirming Qatar’s interest in strengthening the bonds with Pakistan and expanding investment opportunities.
