Saeed Ghani unveils budget of Karachi Development Authority

Karachi, July 09, 2019 (PPI-OT): Minster for LG and Chairman KDA governing body Mr. Saeed Ghani unveiled the budget of KDA while KDA Governing Body approved the budget of Rs, 7457.561 million for financial year of 2019/20. KDA budget session was presiding by Saeed Ghani here in his office while session was attended by Secretary for LG Syed Khalid Hyder Shah, Commissioner Karachi Iftkhar Shalwani, Member Governing body and member provincial assembly Shameem Mamtaz, Director General KDA Abdul Qadeer Mangi, Member finance KDA Agha Parvaiz, Chief Engineer Ram Chand Director Finance KDA Saeed Ahmed Khan, Secretary KDA Naeem Waheed, Director Budget Liaqat Ali, Media Coordinator KDA Akram Sattar, Media Consultant to Minster for LG Zubair Memon and other officers.

In session, discussion was being held that how to stable the KDA financially. On that occasion Director General KDA Abdul Qadeer Mangi told Minster for LG that matter of dues between KDA and K Electric have not been solved yet as K Electric have to pay (26 Crore Rupees) to KDA while Mr. Saeed gave instruction to Secretary LG for solutions of dues matter.

On that occasion Minster for LG banned the purchasing of new vehicles for department and said that Sindh Government banned the purchasing of all kind of vehicles while complete reports of available vehicles must be submitted in coming session of GB. During session 100 million were also approved for Pedestrian bridges across the city. After the session Minster for LG Mr. Saeed Ghani said that it is our priorities to stable the KDA while all the officer have to utilized their capabilities and efforts for the development of city. He further said the auction of plots and new schemes have been included in Budget and soon KDA will be stable development Authority.
