Security Forces Eliminate 29 Terrorists in Targeted Strikes: Tarar

Islamabad: Security forces have killed 29 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation and subsequent precision strikes targeting terrorist camps and safe havens in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border region.

According to Radio Pakistan, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar revealed in a post on X that the operation was launched in response to multiple militant attacks across the country. The operation was followed by calibrated strikes in the border region against the hideouts and safe havens of terrorists belonging to Jamaat ul Ahrar and Fitna al Khwarij, resulting in the elimination of twenty-nine terrorists.

Attaullah Tarar provided further details, stating that security forces conducted an intelligence-based ground operation against a group of terrorists near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Bajaur District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This operation led to the elimination of high-value Kharji Commander Khan Farosh, also known as Zabal, along with three terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy group, Jamaat ul Ahrar, while several others were injured.

Continuing the efforts under Operation Ghazb Lil Haq, based on credible intelligence, precise targeting of terrorist camps and hideouts belonging to Jamaat ul Ahrar and Fitna al Khwarij were executed on the night of June 28th and 29th. These strikes in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border region resulted in the destruction of three targets in Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar, eliminating twenty-five terrorists.

In addition to the loss of terrorist lives, large quantities of weapons and ammunition stored at these hideouts were also destroyed. The Information Minister emphasized that Pakistan has consistently strived for peace and stability in the region, yet it remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.
