Security Forces Foil Infiltration Attempt on Pakistan-Afghanistan Border

Zhob: In a significant operation, Pakistani security forces successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by a group identified as khwarij along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the general area of Sambaza, Zhob District, on the night of January 18-19. The security forces engaged the infiltrators, resulting in the elimination of five members of the group.

According to a statement by Inter Services Public Relations, the Pakistani government has repeatedly urged the Interim Afghan Government to manage its side of the border effectively. The Afghan authorities are expected to prevent the use of Afghan territory by khwarij for conducting terrorist activities against Pakistan.

The statement also emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to securing its borders and eradicating terrorism from the country. The operation underscores the ongoing efforts by Pakistani security forces to maintain regional stability and security.
