Security Papers Limited Announces Director Elections for Upcoming EOGM

Karachi, Security Papers Limited has officially announced the election of directors scheduled to take place during its 8th Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM) on February 13, 2024. The meeting, set for 9:00 a.m., will be held at the company’s premises on Jinnah Avenue, Malir Halt, Karachi. This decision comes in accordance with an addendum notice dated January 23, 2024, detailing the proceedings of the upcoming EOGM.

The company has informed its shareholders, in line with Section 159(4) of the Companies Act, 2017, about the individuals who have submitted their intentions to stand for election as directors under Section 159(3) of the same Act. The election will specifically focus on filling positions for one female director and three independent directors, as mandated. Due to the number of candidates exceeding the available positions in both the ‘Female’ and ‘Independent’ categories, the elections will proceed as planned to ensure compliance with Section 159(5) of the Companies Act, 2017.
