Karachi, January 23, 2017 (PPI-OT): DHA Clubs over the years have been venue that provide exciting sports, fitness and healthy facilities and has been instrumental in producing promising champions in various sports at national level. Defence Authority Sunset Club has the distinction of being the venue where two outstanding young badminton girl players who currently hold the honour of being Pakistan’s No.1 and No.2 Badminton Champions in single and mixed double events do their practice and get the coaching of the game. They are the shining stars and the pride of Pakistan.
Mahoor Shehzad, the current badminton champions of Pakistan and another promising player Palwasha Bashir who has the honour of being five times consecutive national champion and is currently runners up are exceptionally versatile and dynamic players who undergo a very tough fitness training and concertedly play badminton learning the tricks and temperament of the game under the supervision of a celebrated coach Mr. Iftikhar at Defence Authority Sunset Club. The stamina, speed, control, agility and game technique of the two players is simply superb and magnificent.
According to Mr. Iftikhar, the coach of the two champions, the key factor in success of the players is their determination, consistent hard work and over whelming dedication for the game which has helped them to achieve the great feat and to maintain their stature and prestige of being the top players of the country.
Both the players apart from playing at national level have also represented Pakistan at international tournaments as well. Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali Hassan Ali commended the exceptional talent and superb feats of the two outstanding players who are as source of inspiration for the young generation.
