SIFC reviews provinces’ role in attracting foreign investment

The tenth executive committee of Special Investment Facilitation Council was held in Islamabad today with Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal in the chair.

On this occasion, it was apprised that provinces played a vital role to highlight the stance of government related to the attraction of foreign investment in country under Special Investment Facilitation Council.

The concerned ministries presented progress reports on projects and policy initiatives in key areas under the purview of SIFC. They also presented a comprehensive framework to supplement the future endeavors.

The committee also paved the way for the decisions required from the top leadership in the upcoming Apex Committee meeting.

Cross-sectoral aspects were also reviewed on behalf of all provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and relevant stakeholders have expressed consensus on important cross sectoral areas.
