SIFC taking steps to prevent smuggling, tax evasion

Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is taking steps to prevent smuggling and tax evasion.

Track and trace system is being implemented by the government to prevent smuggling of cement, tobacco, fertilizer and sugar.

The campaign aims to thwart illegal trading activities, increase revenue, enhance transparency and facilitate planning.

The effort to implement the track and trace system will ensure regulatory integrity, which reflects the commitment of the government for economic development.
