Sindh Governor Intervenes to Secure Visa for Boxer Muhammad Wasim’s Title Fight in Malta

Karachi: Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, has stepped in to assist boxer Muhammad Wasim in securing a visa for an upcoming championship bout in Malta, following the athlete’s public appeal for help. The Governor wrote to the Italian embassy requesting that they expedite the visa process to ensure Wasim’s participation in the contest.

According to Sindh Governor House, the intervention came after Wasim, who is scheduled to fight Sabelo Cebekhulu for the WBF Intercontinental Heavyweight World Title on October 4, voiced concerns over delays in obtaining his visa. The boxer’s plea included a video message that prompted the Governor’s response.

During a visit to the Governor’s House, Wasim expressed his gratitude to Governor Tesori for the support. The Governor, in turn, voiced confidence in Wasim’s potential to win the title and highlighted his commitment to promoting sports in Pakistan, anticipating that Wasim would contribute to these efforts upon his return.
