Sindh Govt Sets 30 Km Per Hour Speed Limit for Heavy Vehicles in Karachi

Karachi: The Sindh government has introduced a speed limit of thirty kilometers per hour for heavy transport vehicles in Karachi to address the city’s growing traffic concerns. This significant decision aims to enhance road safety and manage traffic flow in the bustling metropolis.

According to Radio Pakistan, the decision was made during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi. The meeting focused on addressing the increasing traffic issues and ensuring the safety of commuters and pedestrians alike.

In addition to the new speed limit, the Chief Minister has mandated random drug testing for drivers of both heavy and light vehicles across the province. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to improve road safety and reduce accidents caused by impaired driving.
