Six Kashmiri Employees Dismissed by BJP Government in IIOJK

Srinagar: In a continuing series of dismissals, the BJP-led Indian government has terminated six more employees, including five policemen and a teacher, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the dismissed individuals were allegedly linked to the Kashmiri freedom movement. The affected employees are head constable Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, constable Khalid Hussain Shah, constable Rehmat Shah, constable Irshad Ahmad Chalkoo, constable Saif Din, and government teacher Nazim Din.

The administration under Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha used Article 311 (2) (c) of the Constitution of India to carry out these terminations, effectively preventing the employees from contesting their dismissals or seeking any form of redress. This action is seen as part of a broader strategy by the Modi government to remove Kashmiri Muslim personnel from government positions and replace them with supporters of Hindutva ideology.

This pattern of dismissals has raised concerns about the suppression of the Muslim community’s representation and participation in the regional governance of IIOJK.
