SME Leasing Limited Announces Director Elections for Upcoming Extra-Ordinary General Meeting

Islamabad: SME Leasing Limited has officially announced the candidates for its director elections, set to take place during the Extra-Ordinary General Meeting on August 17, 2024, both in Islamabad and online.

Members of SME Leasing Limited were notified pursuant to Section 159(4) of the Companies Act, 2017, about the intentions of three candidates to offer themselves for election at the forthcoming meeting. The candidates listed include Mr. Muhammad Farrukh Mansoor Malik, Mr. Najam Altaf, and Mr. Tahir Saeed Effendi.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), since the number of candidates is equal to the number of director positions available as fixed by the company’s Board of Directors under Section 159(1) of the Companies Act, these candidates will be deemed elected at the meeting without a contest.

The election process aligns with the regulatory requirements of the Companies Act, ensuring transparency and governance within the corporate structure of SME Leasing Limited.
