Srinagar SPOs Dismissed for Negligence and Drug-Related Offenses

Srinagar, Three Special Police Officers (SPOs) have been terminated from their positions in Samba district due to negligence and involvement in drug offenses under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the officers, identified as Daljeet Singh, Bali Ram, and Deepak Singh, were dismissed following the outcomes of departmental inquiries. These investigations were part of a broader scrutiny initiated in 2023, involving several officials.

Daljeet Singh and Bali Ram were implicated in a murder case at Ramgarh police station and had escaped police custody, which led to their dismissal for dereliction of duty. In a separate case, Deepak Singh was discharged from service after being linked to a narcotics offense registered at the Samba police station.
