Steps should be taken to provide relief to Gwadar’s rain-hit people: Senators

The Senate session was held at the parliament house in Islamabad today with Deputy Chairman Mirza Muhammad Afridi in the chair.

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Murtaza Solangi bid adieu to the upper house after receiving acclaim from the Deputy Chairman.

The Deputy Chairman extended his gratitude to the caretaker Minister for his cooperation and giving time to the house. Other Senators also expressed their gratitude to the Minister.

Rising on points of order, the Senators were concerned over the situation arising of severe rains in Gwadar. They said immediate steps should be taken to provide relief to the rain-affected people of Gwadar.

The Deputy Chairman Senate told the members that directives have been issued in this regard to the concerned authorities.

The House has now been adjourned to meet again on Monday the 4th February at 03:00 PM.
