Lahore, June 23, 2023 (PPI-OT): Chairperson Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Sara Ahmed was met by UNICEF Pakistan delegation while the delegation included Child Protection Specialist Farzana Yasin, Child Protection Officer UNICEF Zahida Manzoor, Child Protection Officer Azlan Butt, Program Officer Bilawal Abbasi and others. On this occasion, Director General Child Protection Bureau Aftab Ahmed Khan is also present. During the meeting with Chairperson Sarah Ahmed, there was a discussion between the Child Protection Bureau and UNICEF regarding the protection and welfare of children. On this occasion, the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, and it was agreed to continue UNICEF’s joint action plan for the protection of children’s rights.
In addition, the Child Protection Bureau and UNICEF Pakistan are working together for the protection and welfare of children. In this regard, a future action plan was also prepared between the Child Protection Bureau and UNICEF Pakistan. The Child Protection Bureau and UNICEF Pakistan are working on various projects, including child protection case management and child protection units.
