Rawalpindi, June 24, 2014 (PPI-OT): 1. 27 x terrorists were killed in jet aircraft strikes in Mir Ali and surroundings areas this afternoon. 11 x Terrorist’s hideouts were destroyed. Huge cache or arms and ammunition was also destroyed.
2. 20 x Terrorists were killed in early morning air strikes on terrorist’s hideouts in Khyber Agency. 12 x terrorist’s hideouts were destroyed.
3. A vehicle borne suicide attack attempt was foiled in Spinwam area of North Waziristan Agency this afternoon. According to details a single cabin explosive laden vehicle tried to approach a check post outside a civil hospital when soldiers on duty, spotted and fired at the vehicle. The vehicle exploded 100 meters short of check post. 2 soldiers and a civilian embraced shahadat when nearby roof of a building collapsed due to explosion.
4. IDP Management
a. 454207 DPs (36514 families) from North Waziristan Agency have been registered so far at Saidgai registration point.
b. 6 ration distribution points have been established for IDPs of North Waziristan Agency ( 3 at Bannu, 2 at DI Khan and one at Tank).
c. Detailed distribution of 4473 Tons of Ration for 40000 families will commence from Wednesday (25 June). Each Ration bag carries 20/80 Kg of Atta as per size of the family, cooking oil 5 Litre, Dhall 9 Kg, Date 1 Kg, and tea 1 Kg.
d. 32 Relief goods collection points have been established by Army in all major cities of the country for collection of donations. For details please visit ispr.gov.pk.
