Use of force on protesting traders in Srinagar denounced

Srinagar, May 06, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has strongly denounced the use of brute force by Indian police against the traders who were protesting in Srinagar against the delaying tactics of the puppet regime in providing relief and rehabilitation to the victims of devastating floods of September 2014.The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the action against the demonstrators as brutal and tyrannical act.

He expressed solidarity with the flood victims and said that the use of force against the traders affected by the deluge depicted the anti-people policy of the puppet regime. “Flood victims are already suffering on account of the tremendous losses caused to them by the devastating floods.

Instead of compensating for their losses and damages, the authorities were using force to crush their genuine voice of complaints and such an action could only be called as undemocratic and inhuman,” he stated. The spokesman deplored that despite passing of more than eight months the puppet administration had failed to rehabilitate or compensate the traders who incurred losses during the September 2014 floods. He also denounced the killing of youth, Abdul Ahad Dar, by unknown gunmen in Hazratbal area of Srinagar.
