Visit of US and Afghan delegations

Islamabad: The 6th meeting of the Core Group of Pakistan, Afghanistan and the United States will be held in Islamabad on 26-27 April 2012. The meeting would review various issues of common interest including the Afghan led and Afghan owned peace and reconciliation process, economic development, narcotics, return of Afghan refugees and regional connectivity.

The Pakistan side would be headed by Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani while the US side would be led by Mr. Marc Grossman, Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan. Mr. Jawed Luddin, Deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, would lead the Afghan delegation.

In addition to the Core Group meeting, separate bilateral meetings will also be held with both US and Afghan delegations.
