Wajid Shamsul Hasan condole death of Shamimur Rehman

London, August 22, 2012 (PPI-OT): Pakistan High Commissioner for UK Mr Wajid Shamsul Hasan has expressed his heartfelt condolences over the sad demise of veteran Pakistani journalist Shamimur Rehman who died yesterday in Karachi. “I had known him for four decades.

He was an upright journalist and dauntless upholder of freedom of press. As a compassionate human being and sincere friend, he will be missed by his friends and others alike,” said the High Commissioner. He further said that his services to the profession of journalism would be long remembered in the annals of history.

The High Commissioner prayed to Allah Almighty to shower His choicest blessings on the departed soul and give the bereaved family strength and fortitude to bear this great personal loss.
