WB lauds BISP for successfully implementing CRISP Project

The World Bank has commended Benazir Income Support Program for successfully implementing the Crisis Resilient Social Protection Project.

The appreciation was expressed during a visit of the World Bank delegation to BISP office in Islamabad today.

The delegation included key participants Co-Task Team Leader Melis U Guven and economist and Zaineb Majoka among others.

Chairperson Rubina Khalid expressed gratitude to the World Bank mission for their support and assessment of BISP’s performance.

She stressed the importance of creating awareness about new initiatives among beneficiaries and extending outreach at the Union Council level for better communication and mobilization.

Melis U Guven also praised BISP’s Hybrid Social Protection Scheme, noting that Benazir Income Support Programme has emerged as a role model for other developing countries implementing social protection programs.
