4.4 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Leh in Ladakh

Leh: A 4.4 magnitude earthquake rattled the Leh district in the Ladakh region of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, causing concern among residents.

According to Kashmir Media Service, The National Center for Seismology (NCS) confirmed that the seismic event occurred at 08:12:59 IST on Wednesday. The earthquake’s epicenter was located at latitude 36.10 N and longitude 74.81 E, with a depth of 150 kilometers. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or significant damage following the tremor.

The local authorities have not issued any immediate safety warnings, but the situation remains under close observation as the region assesses the impact of the quake.
