400 new electricity meters installed in Abdul Raheem Goth, North

Karachi, November 15, 2019 (PPI-OT): K-Electric successfully installed around 400 low-cost meters in Abdul Raheem Goth and Yousuf Goth, North Karachi. During the operation against power-theft, over 200 illegal hook connections were also removed from these areas. Meanwhile KE is continuing with its drive to convert PMTs to Aerial Bundled Cable (ABC) and as part of this drive 21 PMTs in these areas are also being converted to (ABC).

According to spokesperson K-Electric, “A few days back, the power utility also organised customer facilitation camp in this sub-urban area of Karachi, where more than 500 applications for new connections were also processed. Customer Facilitation Camps are organised in different areas including Landhi, Korangi, Surjani, Liaquatabad and Orangi, where residents are assisted in submission of new connection applications and they are provided options on pending dues.
