Pakistan, Qatar Pledge to Enhance Trade and Investment Collaboration

Banjul, Pakistan and Qatar have affirmed their commitment to strengthening trade and investment relations, as well as exploring opportunities for increased employment for Pakistanis in Qatar, during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, on the sidelines of the 15th OIC Islamic Summit in Banjul, The Gambia.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions between the two leaders encompassed various aspects of bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on enhancing collaboration in the energy sector. They also exchanged perspectives on recent regional and global developments, particularly in the Middle East.

Both leaders expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine and emphasized the immediate need for a ceasefire in Gaza, along with ensuring unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
