Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan 61% of Pakistanis do not use any heating system during winters; the rest mostly use gas heaters (20%), electricity (10%) and coal (6%).

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “What do you use in your home these days to protect yourself from cold?” Responding to this 61% of Pakistanis do not use any heating system, 10% use electric heater, 20% claim they use gas heaters and 6% claim that they use coal for heating purposes. However 2% use other means. However 1% did not give a view.
