Allied Bank Limited Announces Extraordinary General Meeting for Director Elections

Lahore: Allied Bank Limited has announced that it will conduct an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on August 27, 2024, for the election of directors.

The decision was made during the 268th meeting of the Board of Directors held on July 10, 2024. The meeting, led by the Board, endorsed the agenda to engage shareholders in the forthcoming directorial elections at the gathering scheduled to take place in Lahore.

The Share Transfer Books of the bank will be closed from August 20, 2024, to August 27, 2024, inclusive of both days. The bank has clarified that share transfer requests must be submitted to the office of the bank’s Share Registrar, M/s. CDC Share Registrar Services Limited (CDCSRSL) at CDC House, 99-B, Block-B, S.M.C.H.S., Main Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, by the close of business on August 19, 2024, to be considered timely. This timeline allows shareholders to transfer shares effectively and gain the eligibility to attend and vote at the EGM.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the notice regarding the EGM will be disseminated following regulatory timelines, ensuring that all stakeholders are adequately informed.

Stakeholders and TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange have been advised to update their records to participate in the upcoming electoral process.
