Ambassador of Azerbaijan inaugurates school in Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad, September 19, 2012 (PPI-OT): Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Mr. Dashgin Shikarov inaugurated the Rara Government Girls School, Muzaffarabad named after Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO. The school was constructed by Heydar Aliyev Foundation in 2008 in place of the one destroyed by earthquake and fully reconstructed and renovated in 2012.

While addressing the audience Ambassador Shikarov apprised on activity of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Azerbaijan and other countries of the world. He said that besides the construction of the school in Muzaffarabad, the Foundation also carried out the hepatitis B vaccination at Edhi Home in Islamabad, arranged free treatment at Akbar Care Institute for Cerebral Palsy and made donations to Hamza and Khyber Eye Foundations in Peshawar, conducted open-heart surgeries at Women and Children Hospital at Lakki Marwat. He also informed that Foundation hosted iftar dinners to the beneficiaries of Baytul Mal orphanages in all provinces of Pakistan during the holy month of Ramazan.
