Islamabad: Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Mr. Hiroshi Oe and Mrs. Midori Oe hosted an inaugural reception on 25th May, 2011 at a local hotel to greet colleagues and friends on the occasion of assuming a new assignment in Pakistan.
The reception was attended by crowds of dignitaries including Ministers, Parliamentarians, senior government and military officials, members of the diplomatic community and other guests from the public and private sector.
Ambassador Oe arrived in Pakistan on 25th April and presented his credentials on 2nd May 2011 to H.E. Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Ambassador Oe joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in April 1979 and has served at various important positions.
Ambassador Oe plays the piano and won Gold prizes in both Amateur solo and concert divisions of the International Chopin Piano Competition in Asia in 2011.
