Anti polio task force for Mirpurkhas and SBA to be notified soon; Federal Polio Eradication Team calls on Chief Secretary Sindh

Karachi, November 30, 2016 (PPI-OT): Federal Polio Eradication Team (FPET) called on Chief Secretary Sindh Rizwan Memon in his office on Tuesday, headed by Dr. Altaf Bossan.

The FPET, felicitated the CS on assuming the office of C.S. Sindh and appreciated the efforts of Sindh Government for eradication of successful Anti Polio Campaign, throughout the Sindh Province.

Rizwan Memonassured FPET that coastal areas have been focused for the noble cause of Polio Eradication, the Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and relevant department including Health Department Sindh are devotedly performing their duties, to this effect. He also maintained that appropriate security arrangements were also being emphasized accordingly.

The CS noted that he (CS) himself is ready till midnight, too, for assistance and cooperation, in this regard. He also assured that Notification on Anti Polio Task Force, will shortly be issued with the approval of Honourable Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah.

The FPET comprising Dr. Altaf Bossan, Dr. Adion O Loiry (UNICEF), Dr. Abidi Muhammad (WHO), Dr. Ahmed Ali and Fayyaz Ahmed Jatoi (both from Sindh) and Dr. Safdar the National Coordinator.
