APHC-AJK Delegation Engages with PTI Leadership in Islamabad

Islamabad: A delegation from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK), led by Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, held a meeting with leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at the party’s headquarters in Islamabad. The delegation included prominent figures such as the former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Abdul Qayyum Niazi, and former Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khaleed Khurshid.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC-AJK members were warmly received and the discussions focused on the ongoing challenges in Kashmir, particularly the repercussions of India’s revocation of Article 370 and 35A on August 5, 2019. Safi criticized the move as a breach of international norms and the United Nations charter.

The PTI leaders reiterated their support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and condemned the reported human rights abuses in the region. The meeting underscored Pakistan’s solidarity with the Kashmiri struggle for autonomy and highlighted the nation’s continued advocacy on their behalf at international forums.

The day also featured a press conference with Kashmir Affairs Minister Amir Muqam and APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, who discussed the significance of Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir. They announced plans for a parliamentary resolution and global embassy events to commemorate the day, emphasizing the broader international call to support both Kashmiri and Palestinian rights against alleged injustices.
