Karachi, In a recent development, the Board of Directors of At-Tahur Limited has made the decision to withdraw the proposed businesses that were set to be discussed at the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) scheduled for June 21, 2023, in Lahore. Consequently, the EGM has been canceled, and the previously communicated date of closure of members’ register is no longer applicable.
The first proposed business was to alter the Memorandum of Association of the Company by increasing the Authorized Share Capital from Rs. 2,200,000,000 to Rs. 5,200,000,000, subject to the approval of the members. This alteration would have entailed an amendment in the main clause V of the Memorandum of Association. However, the Board has decided to withdraw this proposition.
Additionally, the Board had proposed a change in the method of circulating the annual financial statements to members/shareholders. Instead of using traditional formats like CD/DVD/USB, they intended to distribute the statements through Quick Response (QR) enabled codes and web links. However, this proposal has also been withdrawn by the Board.
This decision by the Board of Directors of At-Tahur Limited marks a change in the company’s plans and demonstrates their commitment to reevaluating and reassessing their strategies for the future. Shareholders and members are advised to stay updated with further announcements from the company regarding any potential rescheduling or alternative actions in response to these changes.
