Avalanche Warning Issued for Five Districts in IIOJK

Srinagar, Authorities have issued an avalanche warning for the upcoming 24 hours for five districts in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The alert comes as a precautionary measure to safeguard lives in the region prone to such natural disasters during this time of the year.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) announced that a medium-danger level avalanche is likely to strike areas above 2,200 meters in the districts of Kishtwar, Kupwara, Bandipora, Ganderbal, and Baramulla within the next 24 hours. Residents of these areas have been advised to exercise caution and avoid any unnecessary ventures into avalanche-prone zones until further notice.

The warning underscores the importance of preparedness and vigilance in minimizing the potential impact of avalanches on communities residing in the affected districts.
