Ban on Muharram processions unjustified: Al-Moosvi

Srinagar, November 03, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, has termed the continued ban on Muharram processions in the territory as unjustified. Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the puppet authorities had imposed a ban on the Muharram processions since 1990 and the action was tantamount to interference in religious matters of the Muslims.

He said that on one hand, the puppet authorities facilitated the conducting of Amarnath Yatra, and on the other, they did not allow the people of the territory to perform their religious obligations. He said that this action showed the dual standard of the puppet administration.

The APHC leader strongly denounced the use of brute force on the mourners in Srinagar yesterday.
