Karachi, Bank Alfalah Limited has announced that an Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM) will be held on Monday, May 27, 2024 at Karachi and will also be accessible through a web link. The meeting agenda includes the confirmation of the minutes from the 32nd Annual General Meeting, held on March 20, 2024, and the election of nine directors for a term of three years starting from May 27, 2024, as determined by the Board of Directors in accordance with Section 159(1) of the Companies Act, 2017.
The candidates eligible for reelection, subject to State Bank of Pakistan approval, include H.H. Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Mr. Abdulla Nasser Hawaileel Al Mansoori, Mr. Abdulla Khalil Al Mutawa, Mr. Khalid Mana Saeed Al Otaiba, Dr. Ayesha Khan, Dr. Gyorgy Tamas Ladics, Mr. Khalid Qurashi, and Mr. Atif Aslam Bajwa. The meeting will also cover other business as permitted by the Chair.
Members have the right to vote in accordance with the Act and the Companies (Postal Ballot) Regulations, 2018. Share Transfer Books will remain closed from May 20, 2024, to May 27, 2024. Members wishing to participate in the EOGM via an online platform must provide their details to the bank’s designated email at least 48 hours before the meeting time.
Muhammad Akram Sawleh, the company secretary, has also emphasized the importance of shareholders updating their contact information and submitting a valid CNIC to ensure compliance with SECP regulations and to facilitate the receipt of dividends and other entitlements.
